  1. Disconnect fuel line between fuel pump and filter. Place end of fuel line in measuring container.
  2. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" position. Pump should supply 1/2 pint (1/5 L) in 15 seconds. If not, disconnect inlet hose at pump and connect a vacuum gauge.
  3. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" position. Vacuum must be 5.3 in. Hg. If less, replace pump. If more, check fuel lines for splits, leaks, or kinks.
