The Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) is a permanent memory that is part of PCM. EEPROM cannot be replaced. EEPROM contains program and calibration information that PCM uses to control powertrain. If PCM is replaced, ensure NEW PCM software/calibration is correct and most recent version for vehicle.
