Knock Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning (Battery Disconnect Warning).

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the knock sensor bolt (1).
3. Remove the knock sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the knock sensor (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the knock sensor bolt (1).

Tighten the knock sensor bolt (1) to 20 Nm (14.7 lb ft).

3. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair).
