This procedure applies if you have been sent here from a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) test or No Trouble Code (NTC) test. The following checks may assist in identifying a possible intermittent problem:

Consult customer on nature of the problem and condition at which the problem exists.
Visually inspect related wiring harness connectors for broken, bent, pushed out or corroded terminals.
Visually inspect related wiring harness for chafed, pierced or partially broken wires.
Attempt to duplicate conditions when the problem occurs, such as temperature or moisture conditions.
Wiggle wiring harness and connectors in several directions to attempt to find defective condition in wiring or connectors.
Check actuation, inputs, outputs and sensor operation for malfunctioning system using scan tool. See ACTUATION, INPUTS, OUTPUTS & SENSOR READ TESTS .
