Fig. 44 Compressor removal:

FS-6 Six Cylinder Compressor, V6-232 Engine
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Discharge refrigerant from system.
3. Disconnect compressor clutch wires from field coil connector on compressor.
4. Loosen compressor drive belt, then disconnect hose assemblies from condenser and suction line.
5. Remove compressor mounting bolts, then the compressor with manifold and tube assembly, Fig. 44. The compressor assembly must be removed from the top.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
