Starter Load Test

  1. Connect starting system test equipment following manufacturer instructions. See Fig 1 . Ensure carbon pile rheostat of starter tester is turned off. Disconnect terminal "S" push-on connector from starter relay.
  2. Ensure transmission is in Park or Neutral. Connect remote control starter switch between terminal "S" and positive battery terminal. Crank engine while observing ammeter reading.
  3. Ammeter will indicate starter current draw under load. See STARTER SPECIFICATIONS  .
