Ignition System: Distributor: Installation

Download the full database via torrent (~1.1 TB)
  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure mark(s) or indentations on distributor shaft and housing are aligned. Check distributor rubber "O" ring seal and replace as necessary.
  2. After installing distributor, ensure distributor rotor is aligned with mark made during removal or set at No. 1 cylinder spark plug position. Check and adjust timing. See ADJUSTMENTS article. Tighten distributor hold-down bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  at end of article.
