  1. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect control unit harness connector. Remove wiring connector from knock sensor and bridge or jump wiring connector terminals No. 4 and 5 and terminals No. 4 and 7. Ohmmeter should read continuity.
  2. If no continuity is present, repair knock sensor wiring. If knocking continues, replace knock sensor.
