Ensure ignition is off. Connect a voltmeter between measuring unit terminals No. 18 and 19, and then between terminals No. 36 and 19. Battery voltage should be present in both cases. If not, check fuse, wiring and relay. Turn ignition on. Voltage should decrease from 12 volts to approximately .1 volt at terminal No. 36.
